談兩岸 宋楚瑜：維持中華民國現狀
針對兩岸關係，親民黨主席宋楚瑜今天(6日)在參選總統的記者會上提出「維持中華民國現狀」的主張，他認為雙方在政治、經濟、社會仍有差距時，這是台灣內部的最大共識；宋楚瑜進一步指出，兩岸在「九二共識」的前提下已有共識，未來應爭取時間換取兩岸合作的更大空間，「兩岸一家親」首重「心靈契合」，兩廂情願自然水到渠成。
親民黨主席宋楚瑜6日宣布投入2016年總統大選，他在參選宣言中提出6項承諾，分別是開誠無私、化解對立；凝聚共識、權責相符；民主制衡、責任政治；聯合政府、務實執政；勤政親民、關懷民生，以及建立兩岸永續和平發展的架構。
在兩岸政策方面，宋楚瑜提出「維持中華民國現狀」與「兩岸一家親」等主張，雙方交流的前提是「對等、互惠、透明」。宋楚瑜並未在參選宣言中提到「九二共識」，但在回答媒體提問時，則講到「九二共識」讓兩岸目前已取得共識，宋楚瑜說：『(原音)兩岸要放下過去的對立，我們都是一家人，在「九二共識」的前提之下已經現在有了共識，維持現狀、維持中華民國台灣、大家目前最大的共識，是維持中華民國的現狀，是我們真正在這個基礎之上，用心靈契合慢慢建立互信，自然水到渠成。』
至於國際關係方面，宋楚瑜認為，台灣有權參加「非政治性」的國際及區域組織，以確保經濟持續繁榮穩定；他還強調自己是最了解美國、日本與中國大陸的總統參選人，也是唯一擁有行政、地方、國防、外交、情治等實際經驗的參選人。
關於修憲議題，宋楚瑜同意推動修憲工程，但他說自己沒有預設立場，一切以多數民意為依歸；另外也會仿效美國民主制度，每年到立法院進行一次國情咨文報告，並與朝野各黨團舉辦政策對話，以落實民主制衡的責任政治。
